POEM 29 OUR TIME
I cried the day we first met
I cried again the day you left
In another life, we’ll meet again one day
Maybe, this time, you won’t go away
I reveled in the time we had
We went our separate ways, I feel sad
Life in its wisdom is not always fair
Apparently, we weren’t destined to be a pair
To live our life without regret
We need to forgive and forget
POEM 30 LONGING
It was a long lonely drive
At the end, I would feel alive
She welcomed me with loving arms
I lost myself in her many charms
Time expired, it was time to go
The open road was my new foe
How many days till I return?
For the touch of her hands, I do yearn
Is it wrong to be driven by this feeling?
Because it does leave my senses reeling
